Earl Francis Stiner, 75, Elizabeth, died Wednesday, Dec. 31, 2008, at University Hospital in Louisville.
Born Oct. 6, 1933, in Harrison County, he was the son of the late Otto and Edith Kannapel Stiner.
He was retired from American Standard in Louisville and was a member of Most Precious Blood Catholic Church in New Middletown.
Besides his parents, he was preceded in death by a granddaughter, Elizabeth Stiner.
Survivors include two sons, William Stiner and David Stiner, both of Elizabeth; a daughter, Mary Neal of Jeffersonville; three brothers, John Stiner of New Albany, George Stiner of Georgetown and Merlin Stiner of Elizabeth; a sister, Mary Waynescott of Elizabeth; two grandchildren; and three great-grandchildren.
Visitation: Friday, Jan. 2, from 9 a.m. to 8 p.m. at Gehlbach & Royse Funeral Home in Corydon.
Funeral: Saturday, Jan. 3, at 10 a.m. at Most Precious Blood Catholic Church in New Middletown with burial in the church cemetery.
Officiant: Father Dan Atkins.
The family suggests memorial gifts to the Harrison County Animal Shelter.
