Anna M. Schuler

Anna Mildred Blackman Schuler, 89, New Albany, died Tuesday, Dec. 23, 2008, at Autumn Woods Heath Campus in New Albany.
Born Sept. 2, 1919, in New Albany, she was the daughter of the late Victor Edward and Beatrice Stickler.
She was a housewife, an artist, a former member of Our Lady of Perpetual Help Catholic Church and a member of St. Anthony of Padua Catholic Church in Clarksville.
Besides her parents, she was preceded in death by her first husband, Elmer Blackman; her second husband, Norman J. Schuler; and two brothers, Bob and Clarence Stickler.
Survivors include four sons, Gary Blackman and Tony Schuler, both of New Albany, Allen Schuler of Navilleton and Bobby Schuler of Salem; a sister, Patty Stickler Smith; two brothers, Herb and Jack Stickler; 16 grandchildren; and 14 great-grandchildren.
Funeral: Monday, Dec. 29, at her church with burial in Holy Trinity Catholic Cemetery in New Albany.
The family suggests memorial gifts to the Alzheimer’s Association or Mount St. Francis.
