New Salisbury woman dies in car crash

A New Salisbury woman died early Sunday morning, Dec. 14, 2008, in a single car crash.
Malorie Beth Frank, 23, was traveling west on S.R. 64 when her vehicle veered off the right side of the road in the 6000 block and struck a culvert at approximately 2:41 a.m.
Police said she was wearing her seat belt but intrusion into the vehicle from the impact was too great.
The crash is under investigation, and there is no determining factor at this time, according to the Harrison County Sheriff’s Dept.
Assisting at the scene were Harrison County Emergency Medical Services, Lanesville Volunteer Fire Dept. and the Harrison County Coroner.

Born Aug. 18, 1985, in New Albany, Malorie Beth Frank was the daughter of Robert Scott and Robin Rene Hilbert Frank of New Salisbury.
She was employed as a marketing representative for Accent in New Albany and a member of First Capital Christian Church in Corydon.
She was preceded in death by her grandmother, Livvie Ann Frank.
Survivors besides her parents include two sisters, Stephanie and Emma Frank, both of New Salisbury, and her grandparents, Terry and Joan Hilbert of Corydon and John and Joann Frank of New Salisbury.
The funeral will be today (Wednesday) at 10 a.m. at First Capital Christian Church followed by burial in Palmyra Cemetery. Pastor Tony Stinson will officiate. Pallbearers will be Brian Webb, Gary Outcalt, Chris Chastain, Mark and Mike Hilbert and Ricky, Brian and Jason Head. Gehlbach & Royse Funeral Home in Corydon is handling arrangements.
