Darlene E. Hendrich, 81, Corydon, died Monday, Dec. 15, 2008, at Harrison County Hospital in Corydon.
Born Jan. 6, 1927, in Harrison County, she was the daughter of the late Marshall and Altha Ferree Robson.
She had been an employee of Seinshiemers Shirt Factory in New Albany, was retired from Keller Manufacturing Co., was a caregiver, attended Old Capitol United Methodist Church in Corydon and was a member of the VFW Ladies Auxiliary 2950 and Dazzlers Red Hat Society.
Besides her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Nelson Hendrich, and a brother, Dallas Robson.
Survivors include a daughter, Sherry Reed of Corydon; two brothers, Donald Robson of Seymour and Gerald Robson of Louisville; two sisters, Mary Ann Soerge of Shelbyville, Ky., and Eleanor Omerso of Corydon; three grandchildren; five great-grandchildren; and a great-great-grandchild.
Visitation: Thursday, Dec. 18, from 11 a.m. to 8 p.m. and Friday, Dec. 19, after 9 a.m. at Gehlbach & Royse Funeral Home in Corydon with a VFW Auxiliary Service at 7 p.m. Thursday.
Funeral: Friday, Dec. 19, at 11 a.m. at the funeral home followed by burial in Central Barren Cemetery.
Officiant: The Rev. Douglas Finney.
Pallbearers: Paul, Bobby and Mike Robson, Tim Soergel, Terry Underwood, Kenny Brooks, James Omerso and Andy Fackler.
