Anna M. Hays

Anna Marie Hays, 86, Greenwood, died Friday, Nov. 28, 2008.
Born June 15, 1922, in Pendleton, she was the daughter of the late Howard and Ethel Jones Hill.
She was a 1944 graduate of Ball State University and taught business and English at Greenwood High School for 26 years, was a former member of Eldorado Country Club in Greenwood, and a member of Alpha Chi Omega Sorority at Ball State University, Tri Kappa Sorority in Greenwood for 50 years, Seven Lakes Country Club in Fort Myers, Fla., and Greenwood United Methodist Church.
Besides her parents, she was preceded in death by a daughter, Linda A. Hays, and a sister, Elizabeth Jeffrey.
Survivors include her husband, Clyde G. Hays, formerly of Central; a son, Thomas C. Hays of Carmel; a daughter, Patricia Ann Gregg of Greenwood; two sisters, Hannah Stanley of Muncie and Juanda Galbrach of Fort Myers; and four grandchildren.
Visitation: Tuesday, Dec. 2, from 4 to 8 p.m. and Wednesday, Dec. 3, after 9 a.m. at Wilson St. Pierre Funeral Service and Crematory’s Greenwood Chapel.
Funeral: Wednesday, Dec. 3, at 10 a.m. at the funeral home followed by burial in Grove Lawn Cemetery in Pendleton.
Officiant: Dr. Bill Hoopes.
