Richard A. Chism, 57, Corydon, died Thursday, Nov. 27, 2008, at his home.
Born Aug. 2, 1951, in Corydon, he was the son of the late Walter Earl and Helen Victoria Day Chism.
He was an Army veteran and formerly employed at Harbeson Brothers Paving and Buck Mathes Concrete.
Besides his parents, he was preceded in death by a stepson, Randy White, and a granddaughter, Dana Johnson.
Survivors include his companion of 35 years, Sue Dean White; two daughters, Jill White and Heather Kelley, both of Corydon; a stepdaughter, Debbie White of Mauckport; a stepson, Marty White of Corydon; five brothers, John Chism of English, Charles (Mike) and James Chism, both of Corydon, Robert Chism of New Albany and Willie Chism of Elizabeth; four sisters, Joyce Chism, Barbara Stults, and Rose and Jane Chism, all of Corydon; and eight grandchildren.
Visitation: Sunday, Nov. 30, from 11 a.m. to 8 p.m. and Monday, Dec. 1, after 9 a.m. at Beanblossom-Cesar Funeral Home in Corydon.
Funeral: Monday, Dec. 1, at 1 p.m. at the funeral home with burial in Otterbein Cemetery near Laconia.
Officiant: Pastor Mark Horton.
Pallbearers: Robert, James and Matt Chism, Danny Stults and Marty and Michael White.
