Richard W. Dunn Sr.

Richard W. Dunn Sr., 71, Lexington, died Saturday, Nov. 22, 2008, at his home.
Born April 20, 1937, in Louisville, he was the son of the late Isaac and Honora Durbin Dunn.
He was a retired bindery and shipping supervisor for Merrick Printing Co. in Louisville for 20 years before retiring in 2002, a former employee for Printers Finishing Touch in Louisville, a member of Unity Missionary Baptist Church in Louisville and Indiana Gospel Music Association, and volunteered as a singer at area nursing homes.
Besides his parents, he was preceded in death by his wife, Olive M. Dunn, on Jan. 11, 2002; a grandson, Jarrod M. Leal Jr.; a stepson, Michael Parrott; a brother, Larry Dunn; and several half siblings.
Survivors include a son, Rick Dunn of Louisville; two daughters, Pam J. Leal of Indianapolis and Lisa Pellman of Elizabeth; three brothers, Gilbert Epple and James Dunn, both of Scottsburg, and Jerry Dunn of Blocher; two sisters, Edna Lea Smith of Indianapolis and Virginia Aldridge of Hillview, Ky.; a caregiver, Anita June Dunn of Lexington; nine grandchildren; and five great-grandchildren.
Visitation: Tuesday, Nov. 25, from 4 to 8 p.m. and Wednesday, Nov. 26, after 9 a.m. at Collins Funeral Home in Scottsburg.
Funeral: Wednesday, Nov. 26, at noon at the funeral home followed by interment in Rose Hill Cemetery in Elizabeth.
Officiant: Pastor Wes Guffey.
