Charles T. Vanover

Charles Thomas (Papaw) Vanover, 79, Elizabeth, died Thursday, Nov. 20, 2008, at the V.A. Medical Center in Louisville.
Born Jan. 2, 1929, in Amburgey, Ky., he was the son of the late John and Alifair Vanover.
He was retired from Southern Standard Carton Co. in Jeffersontown, Ky., was a member of Grace Tabernacle Church near Laconia and was an Army veteran of the Korean War.
Besides his parents, he was preceded in death by his wife, Lona Marie Noble Vanover, and four brothers, Henry, Virgil, Jack and Dub Vanover.
Survivors include two sons, Michael and Randy Vanover, both of Elizabeth; two brothers, Willis Vanover of Martinez, Calif., and Andrew Vanover of Amburgey, Ky.; nine grandchildren; and three great-grandchildren.
Funeral: Saturday, Nov. 22, at Beanblossom-Cesar Funeral Home in Corydon with burial in Wood’s Chapel Cemetery near Ramsey.
Pallbearers: Robert Baumgardner, Michael Vanover, Nick Minton, Joe Reas, Greg Vanover and Glen Gerber.
