Mary B. Myers

Mary Belle Myers, 97, Corydon, died Monday, Nov. 10, 2008, at Harrison County Hospital in Corydon.
Born Sept. 3, 1911, near Winchester, Ohio, she was the daughter of the late Charles W. and Clara Brookover Hattan.
She was a homemaker, a former caretaker of foster children, a seamstress for many residents while residing the past five years at Harrison Health & Rehabilitation Centre in Corydon and was a member of Oak Grove United Methodist Church west of Corydon.
Besides her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband of 48 years, Robert Clay Myers; two brothers, Walter and Howard Hattan; and a sister, Virgie Baldwin.
Survivors include two sons, Joseph C. Myers of Corydon and Marion W. Myers of Greenfield; a daughter, Gail Mitchell of Eckerty; 11 grandchildren; 18 great-grandchildren; and two great-great-grandchildren.
Visitation: Thursday, Nov. 13, from 2 to 8 p.m. and Friday, Nov. 14, after 8 a.m. at Swarens Funeral Home in Ramsey.
Funeral: Friday, Nov. 14, at 10 a.m. at the funeral home followed by burial in Oak Grove Cemetery west of Corydon.
Officiant: The Rev. Betty Ann Garrett.
Pallbearers: Nelson, Bradley and Robert Myers, Gary Ricklefs, and Christopher and Robb Mitchell.
