Roy Dennison
Roy (Vivian) Dennison, 82, Laconia, died Wednesday, Oct. 29, 2008, at Harrison County Hospital in Corydon.
Born May 14, 1926, in Horse Cave, Ky., he was the son of the late Frank and Cindy Davis Dennison.
He was a farmer, a former employee of American Tobacco Co. in Louisville and was a member of Smith Campground United Methodist Church.
Besides his parents, he was preceded in death by a son, Michael Dennison; three brothers, Leon, Paul and Roland Dennison; and four sisters, Betty Sterner, Ruth Murphy, Lillian Holton and Ruby Dennison.
Survivors include his wife, the former Bonnie F. Stevens; a son, Sheldon L. Dennison of Laconia; two daughters, Marsha F. Schoen of Elizabeth and Rhonda S. Dixon of Laconia; a brother, Avon Dennison of Louisville; two sisters, Margaret Moorehead and Ritha Fuller, both of Louisville; 11 grandchildren; and 12 great-grandchildren.
Funeral: Saturday, Nov. 1, at Beanblossom-Cesar Funeral Home in Corydon with burial in Rehoboth Cemetery near Laconia.
Officiant: The Rev. Lary Cropper.
Pallbearers: Bobby Brooks, Chad, Scott and Craig Schoen, Ryan Dixon, Ricky Casey, Phillip Conder and Jason Rhodes.
The family suggests memorial gifts to Rehoboth Cemetery or to his church.
