Lester Thompson, 56, New Albany, died Sunday, Nov. 2, 2008, at Clark Memorial Hospital in Jeffersonville.
Born June 11, 1952, in Hodgenville, Ky., he was the son of the late Leslie Thompson and Estelle Mae Hoback Thompson.
He was a former truck driver for Paramont Plywood, was a current employee at Meijer in New Albany and was a member of Pfimmer’s Chapel United Methodist Church near Corydon.
Besides his parents, he was preceded in death by a daughter, Tamara Ann Thompson, and two sisters, Waniquta Thompson and Bessie Mae Hunt.
Survivors include his wife, the former Deborah Ann Kendall; two sons, Lester O. Thompson of New Albany and Clint A. Thompson of Borden; four brothers; and four sisters.
Visitation: Tuesday, Nov. 4, from 1 to 8 p.m. and Wednesday, Nov. 5, after 9 a.m. at Gehlbach & Royse Funeral Home in Corydon.
Funeral: Wednesday, Nov. 5, at 2 p.m. at the funeral home followed by burial in Cedar Hill Cemetery in Corydon.
Officiant: Pastor Tim Johnson.
Pallbearers: Timothy Kendall, Jaime Kendall, David Kendall, Kevin Muntz, Shannon Vincent, Kenny Muntz, Michael Kendall and David Thompson Jr.
