Eddie M. Deutsch

Eddie Mae Young Kitterman Deutsch, 97, died Tuesday, Oct. 14, 2008, at the Masonic Home in Louisville.
Born Jan. 12, 1911, in Hart County, Ky., she was the daughter of the late Harry and Lillie Riordan Young.
She was a homemaker, had briefly worked at the Ammunition Bag Plant in Charlestown during World War II, was a long-time member of Perseverance Chapel United Methodist Church south of Corydon, and had attended Beechmont Baptist and Bethlehem Baptist churches in Louisville.
Besides her parents, she was preceded in death by her first husband, Cecil Kitterman, in 1959; her second husband, Herschel Deutsch, in 1972; two brothers, Herschel and Louis Young; a grandson, Ray Alexander, in 1999; and a great-granddaughter, Savannah Smith, in 2007.
Survivors include two daughters, Norma Hollcroft of Louisville and Opal McKibben of Kokomo; four grandchildren; 11 great-grandchildren; and 14 great-great-grandchildren.
Visitation: Thursday, Oct. 16, from noon to 8 p.m. and Friday, Oct. 17, after 9 a.m. at Gehlbach & Royse Funeral Home in Corydon.
Funeral: Friday, Oct. 17, at 1 p.m. at the funeral home followed by burial in the Perseverance Chapel United Methodist Church Cemetery.
