Blanche C. Kerns

Blanche Canoles Spencer Kerns, 95, Hardinsburg, died Wednesday, Oct. 8, 2008, at 4:45 a.m. at Floyd Memorial Hospital and Health Services in New Albany.
Born Sept. 28, 1913, in Harrison County, she was the daughter of the late John and Lelia Lincoln Canoles.
She was a former inspector for the old Army Ammunition Plant in Charlestown, a homemaker, and a member of Hardinsburg Christian Church, Hardinsburg Homemakers Club and Senior Citizens.
Besides her parents, she was preceded in death by her first husband, Clarence Spencer; her second husband, Damon Kerns; a son, Merlyn Spencer; four sisters; and a brother.
Survivors include a son, Darrell V. Spencer of Georgetown; six grandchildren; 10 great-grandchildren; and six great-great-grandchildren.
Funeral: Saturday, Oct. 11, at Brown Funeral Home in Milltown with interment in Milltown Cemetery.
Pallbearers: Shane Caudill, John Gary, John Gelback, Bill Lyskowinski, Michael Smith, and G.C., Greg and Ron Spencer.
