Mary Mattie Mann Albin, 90, Corydon, died Sunday, Oct. 5, 2008, at Harrison Health & Rehabilitation Centre in Corydon.
Born Dec. 27, 1917, in Washington County, Ky., she was the daughter of the late William Jesse and Linnie Comstock Mann.
She was the oldest member of Pleasant Ridge United Methodist Church near Corydon.
Besides her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Robert B. Albin; two sons, Robert Lee and Stephen Albin; four brothers, James W., Paul, Carl and Leon Mann; and a sister, Beulah Vandiver.
Survivors include a son, John R. Albin of Corydon; three daughters, Naomi R. Saulman and Shirley A. Rhodes, both of Corydon, and Marilyn K. Shepherd of Clarksville; a brother, Charles Mann of Calhoun, Ky.; two sisters, Pauline DeArk of Utica and Margaret Gailey of Stockbridge, Ga.; 10 grandchildren; 17 great-grandchildren; and three great-great grandchildren.
Visitation: Tuesday, Oct. 7, from 5 to 9 p.m. and Wednesday, Oct. 8, from 9 a.m. to 9 p.m. at Beanblossom-Cesar Funeral Home in Corydon and Thursday, Oct. 9, after 9 a.m. at Pleasant Ridge United Methodist Church.
Funeral: Thursday, Oct. 9, at 11 a.m. at the church followed by burial in Pleasant Ridge Cemetery. Pallbearers: Shawn Lee, Anthony Rhodes, Dylan Rhodes, Nicholas Kintner, Justin Yates, Chad Seipel and Ryan Seipel.
The family suggests memorial gifts to her church’s building fund.
