Carmen D. Murphy
Carmen Dell Murphy, 27, Greenville, died Thursday, Oct. 2, 2008, at Floyd Memorial Hospital and Health Services in New Albany.
She was a 1999 graduate of Floyd Central High School, a 2003 graduate of Purdue University and a 2005 graduate of the Medical College of Ohio in Toledo as a physician assistant. After graduation, she worked one year in the liver transplant department at the V.A. Medical Center in Pittsburgh and then in the Geriatrics and Hospice Unit at the V.A. Medical Center in Louisville as a physician assistant.
Survivors include her parents, Audrey and Cheryl Murphy of Greenville; her fianc’, Fadi Francis of Pittsburgh; a sister, Amy Schuler of Navilleton; and her grandparents, Robert and Delva Scharrer of Greenville, Louise Cox of New Albany and Charles and Frances Murphy of Palmyra.
Funeral: Saturday, Oct. 4, at St. Mary’s Navilleton Catholic Church with burial in Greenlawn Cemetery in Greenville.
Arrangements: Kraft Funeral Service in New Albany.
The family suggests memorial gifts to the Floyd County Animal Rescue League or charity of the donor’s choice.
