Juanita V. Monahan
Juanita Virginia Monahan, 84, Corydon, died Thursday, Sept. 25, 2008, at Harrison County Hospital in Corydon.
Born July 17, 1924, in Matoaka, Va., she was the daughter of the late Griffin and Clara Roarke Neighbors.
She was a member of the VFW Post 2950 Ladies Auxiliary and American Legion in Corydon.
Besides her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, William Charles (Jim) Monahan; two daughters, Maryann and Kelli Jo Monahan; her stepmother, Ollie Cundiff Neighbors; and a brother, Earl Neighbors.
Survivors include a son, Michael P. Monahan of Evansville; two daughters, Kathleen Watson and Jackie Rogers, both of Corydon; a brother, Wallace Neighbors of Fort Wayne; eight grandchildren; and three great-grandchildren.
Funeral: Monday, Sept. 29, 1 p.m. at Beanblossom-Cesar Funeral Home with burial in Cedar Hill Cemetery, both in Corydon.
Officiant: The Rev. Webster Oglesby.
Pallbearers: Brian and Michael J. Monahan, Thad Holton, Miles and Terry Cundiff, Rob Pretlow and Jimmy and Mark Pigg.
Honorary pallbearers: Kelsey Rogers, John T. Ashton, Robert Kochert, Wallace Neighbors, Darren Watson and James Pigg.
