Elmer E. Dear
Elmer Emerson Dear, 98, died Wednesday, Sept. 24, 2008, at Indian Creek Health & Rehabilitation Center in Corydon.
Born Aug. 22, 1910, in Ramsey, he was the son of the late Louis J. and Emma M. Wetzel Dear.
He was a retired maintenance worker from the North Harrison Community School Corp. in Ramsey.
Besides his parents, he was preceded in death by his wife, the former Frances M. Berkenmeyer; a son, Marvin L. Dear; a daughter, Rose M. Dear; five brothers, Adolph, Martin, Ollie, Joe and Delmo Dear; and a sister, Mildred Berkenmeyer.
Survivors include four sons, Maurice W., Thomas E., Terry L., and Gary R. Dear, all of Ramsey; a daughter, Darlene J. Arnold of Ramsey; four grandchildren; and four great-grandchildren.
Funeral: Saturday, Sept. 27, at Swarens Funeral Home in Ramsey with burial in St. Paul’s Lutheran Cemetery in New Salisbury.
Officiant: The Rev. Jeff Reed.
Organist: Judy Albin.
Pallbearers: Joey and Rick Dear, Brad Mosey, Todd Jacobi, Dean Oakley and Bill Knasel.
