Orlan E. Huber

Orlan E. (Rooster) Huber, 82, Georgetown, died Wednesday, Sept. 10, 2008, at Floyd Memorial Hospital and Health Services in New Albany.
Born Oct. 14, 1926, in New Albany, he was the son of the late John and Sarah Plaiss Huber.
He worked in maintenance for the Census Bureau in Jeffersonville and was a member of VFW Post 3281 in New Albany.
Survivors include his wife, the former Emma Jean Lee; two daughters, Connie Huber Burgin of New Albany and Sharon Lewis of Lanesville; two stepdaughters, Brenda Kenner of Palmyra and Jeanette Pica of Pekin; a stepson, Mark Lewis; a brother, August Huber of Lanesville; five grandchildren; and nine great-grandchildren.
Funeral: Saturday, Sept. 13, at Gehlbach & Royse Funeral Home in Georgetown with burial in Edwardsville Cemetery.
