James W. (Jim) Lopp, 61, Corydon, died Saturday, Aug. 30, 2008, at his home.
Born Nov. 15, 1946, in Central, he was the son of the late William O. (Bill) and May Dell Mann Lopp.
He was an Army veteran of the Vietnam War, a former employee of Lobdell-Emery in Corydon and was a lifetime member of VFW Post 2950 in Corydon, a charter lifetime member of the Corydon Moose Lodge and a member of the Bonnie Sloan American Legion Post in New Albany.
Survivors include his wife, the former Deloris C. Sams; a son, Jamie Lopp of Jeffersonville; three daughters, Lisa Anderson and Karen Lopp, both of Corydon, and Angela Adkins of New Salisbury; a sister, Linda Kennard of Lanesville; and nine grandchildren.
Funeral: Monday, Sept. 1, at Beanblossom-Cesar Funeral Home in Corydon with burial in Perseverance Chapel Cemetery near Corydon.
Officiant: Pastor Mark Horton.
Pallbearers: Donnie and Dustin Lynch, Brian Striegel, Jordan Moore, Jimmy, Weldon and Brandon Sams, Barry Mann and Delmer Watson.
