Robert E. Hamilton

Robert E. Hamilton, 84, Corydon, died Tuesday, Aug. 26, 2008, at Clark Memorial Hospital in Jeffersonville.
Born Feb. 11, 1924, in Harrison County, he was the son of the late Edith C. Conrad.
He was a farmer, a former employee of the old Charlestown Powder Plant and a member of the Farmer’s Market Association in Corydon and Zoar United Methodist Church near Corydon.
Besides his mother, he was preceded in death by his wife, the former Wanda M. Baumgartle.
Survivors include two sons, Philip R. Hamilton of Austin, Texas, and Paul D. Hamilton of Corydon; a daughter, Janice L. Alexander of Corydon; six grandchildren; and a great-granddaughter.
Visitation: Friday, Aug. 29, from 11 a.m. to 9 p.m. and Saturday, Aug. 30, after 9 a.m. at Beanblossom-Cesar Funeral Home in Corydon.
Funeral: Saturday, Aug. 30, at 11 a.m. at the funeral home followed by burial in Lanesville Cemetery.
Officiant: Pastor Daniel Payton.
