Iona M. Miller

Iona M. Miller, 78, Elizabeth, died Monday, Aug. 18, 2008, at Norton Hospital in Louisville.
Born Nov. 19, 1929, in Harrison County, she was the daughter of the late Frank and Mildred Kochert Ernstberger.
She was a homemaker and a member of St. Joseph Catholic Church in Corydon.
Besides her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Lewis Miller Jr., and a brother, Huston Ernstberger.
Survivors include six sons, Terry, Steven, Jeffery, Dale, John and Scott Miller, all of Elizabeth; three daughters, Regina Brown of Laconia and Joan Kingsley and Susan May, both of Elizabeth; three brothers, Vernon and Gilbert Ernstberger, both of Clarksville, and Paul Ernstberger of New Albany; six sisters, Jane Ponto of Fowler, Ruth Shewmaker of Indianapolis, Melva Gates of Dallas, Nancy Mathews and Annette Akers, both of Valrico, Fla., and Rita Drury of Brandon, Fla.; 19 grandchildren; and 11 great-grandchildren.
Visitation: Thursday, Aug. 21, from 10 a.m. to 9 p.m., Friday, Aug. 22, from 9 a.m. to 9 p.m. and Saturday, Aug. 23, after 9 a.m. at Gehlbach & Royse Funeral Home in Corydon. There will be a rosary Friday at 8:30 p.m.
Funeral: Saturday, Aug. 23, at 11 a.m. at St. Joseph Catholic Church followed by burial in the church cemetery.
Celebrants: Bishop Jerry Gettelfinger and Father Dan Atkins.
The family suggests memorial gifts to the Frank and Mildred Ernstberger Memorial Scholarship Fund for St. Joseph School or to the St. Joseph Parish Hall Fund.
