Herbert H. Sneed

Herbert H. (Herbie) Sneed, 76, Corydon, died Monday, July 28, 2008, at Floyd Memorial Hospital and Health Services in New Albany.
Born June 16, 1932, in Lebanon, Ky., he was the son of the late Rudeling (Jack) and Cecelia Ann Simpson Sneed.
He was retired from the K & I and Norfolk-Southern railroads, was a member of Community of Hope Church of the Nazarene in Corydon and was a former member of the Army Reserve.
Besides his parents, he was preceded in death by a daughter, Deborah Jean Sneed Lidikay; a brother, Lawrence Ray Sneed; and a sister, Wilma Jean Sneed.
Survivors include his wife, the former Carolyn F. Humphrey; two daughters, Rhonda Sneed Berkheimer of Laconia and Brenda Sneed Nolasco of New Salisbury; a brother, Hubert Sneed of Crede, Colo.; eight grandchildren; and 13 great-grandchildren.
Visitation: Thursday, July 31, from 10 a.m. to 9 p.m. and Friday, Aug. 1, after 9 a.m. at Beanblossom-Cesar Funeral Home in Corydon.
Funeral: Friday, Aug. 1, at 1 p.m. at his church followed by burial in Kraft-Graceland Memorial Park in New Albany.
Officiant: The Rev. Kevin Sneed.
Pallbearers: Rodney Stewart, Jason Watson, Brandon and Justin Conrad, Tony Rhodes, Coby Snead, and Jeff and Michael Humphrey.
