Irma C. Frakes

Irma C. Frakes, 90, Corydon, died Saturday, July 19, 2008, at Beard Assisted Care facility near Laconia.
Born July 3, 1918, in Harrison County, she was the daughter of the late James and Leona Pearl Lohmeyer Frakes.
She worked in the family dairy business, was a seamstress and was a member of Perseverance Chapel United Methodist Church near Corydon, where she was an organist for many years.
Besides her parents, she was preceded in death by Edith Frakes Dickson, Harlan Frakes, Rudy Frakes and Gerald Frakes.
Survivors include a brother, Selva Henry Frakes, and two sisters, Zeola R. Frakes and Mary A. Frakes, both of Corydon.
Visitation: Monday, July 21, from noon to 8 p.m. and Tuesday, July 22, after 9 a.m. at Gehlbach & Royse Funeral Home in Corydon.
Funeral: Tuesday, July 22, at 1:30 p.m. at the funeral home with burial in Perseverance Chapel Cemetery in Corydon.
Officiant: The Rev. Dennis Brinkworth.
The family suggests memorial gifts to Hospice of Southern Indiana.
