Douglas G. Luallen

Douglas G. Luallen, 66, New Albany, died Tuesday, July 15, 2008, at Floyd Memorial Hospital and Health Services in New Albany.
He was a retired boilermaker from Louisville Gas & Electric Co., a member of Wesley Chapel United Methodist Church and an Air Force veteran of the Vietnam era.
Survivors include his wife, the former Betty Jo Garland; a son, Timothy A. Dowdle of New Albany; two daughters, Laura L. Brooks of Pekin and Beverly Jo Lynch of Greenville; five brothers, Steve Luallen of Zainsville, Ohio, Jerry Luallen of Marengo, Paul Luallen of New Middletown, and Dan and Rick Luallen, both of Sellersburg; two sisters, Aileen Bullington of Clarksville and Kathleen Carr of Louisville; seven grandchildren; and seven great-grandchildren.
Funeral: Friday, July 18, at Seabrook Dieckmann & Naville Funeral Home with interment in SCI Graceland Memorial Park, both in New Albany.
The family suggests memorial gifts to the American Diabetes Association.
