Students, teachers honored at ‘Excellence in Education’ program

The Chamber of Commerce of Harrison County has partnered with the Harrison County Community Foundation to present the Excellence in Education Celebration on Thursday, July 17, at 6 p.m. in the Showroom at Horseshoe Casino & Resort Southern Indiana.
Guest speaker for the event is Dr. Lisa Clunie from Harrison County Hospital in Corydon. A lifelong resident of Harrison County and a graduate of North Harrison High School in Ramsey, Clunie returned to her home county to practice medicine after completing medical school and her residency.
Scholarship winners from both the Chamber of Commerce and the Foundation will be recognized at this event, and five educators/administrators will receive the Educator of the Year Award.
Tickets for this event can be purchased at any of the school superintendents’ offices, the Chamber of Commerce office, located at 119 E. Beaver St. in Corydon, or the Foundation office, located at 1523 Foundation Way, Corydon. Cost of tickets are $10 per person.
