Norman W. McKinley

Norman Wayne (Mope) McKinley, 80, Borden, died Wednesday, July 2, 2008, at Clark Memorial Hospital in Jeffersonville.
Born March 29, 1928, he was the son of the late Elmo and Mamie Trainor McKinley.
He was a 1946 graduate of Borden High School, where he excelled in basketball, was an Army veteran of the Korean War, was retired from General Electric Co. and was a member of Martinsburg Church of Christ.
Survivors include his wife of 55 years, the former Polly Bush; a son, Gary Dennis McKinley of Borden; a brother, Ronald McKinley of Floyds Knobs; a sister, Romilda Stroud of Louisville; and two grandchildren.
Funeral: Sunday, July 6, at Martinsburg Church of Christ with burial in Martinsburg Cemetery.
Arrangements: Love Funeral Home in Palmyra.
The family suggests memorial gifts to his church.
