Mabel A. Gedney, 97, Corydon, died Sunday, June 29, 2008, at Harrison Health and Rehabilitation Centre in Corydon.
Born March 11, 1911, in Corydon, she was the daughter of the late Horace B. and Flora E. Rowe Jacobs.
She was formerly employed as a bookkeeper at Markee Fuel Co. in Moline, Ill.
Besides her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Thornton L. Gedney, and two sisters, Frieda Scott and C. Ruth Gerdon.
Survivors include a nephew and several great-nieces and great-nephews.
Visitation: Tuesday, July 1, from 3 to 8 p.m. and Wednesday, July 2, after 9 a.m. at Beanblossom-Cesar Funeral Home in Corydon.
Funeral: Wednesday, July 2, at 11 a.m. at the funeral home followed by burial in Perseverance Chapel Cemetery south of Corydon.
Officiant: The Rev. Dennis Brinkworth.
Pallbearers: Bill, Roger, Richard and Tim Gerdon, Jordan Lynton and John Spurlock.
