Charles M. Rawlings Sr.

Charles M. Rawlings Sr., 63, New Albany, died Saturday, June 14, 2008, at his home.
The son of Ruby Hess Rawlings of New Albany and the late Ted Rawlings, he was a self-employed painter and was retired from the painter’s union.
Besides his father, he was preceded in death by a brother, Richard Rawlings, and a sister, Phyllis Juliot.
Survivors besides his mother include his wife, the former Linda G. Eastridge; a son, Charles M. Rawlings Jr. of New Albany; two stepsons, Lance K. Rudolph of New Albany and Tony V. Rudolph of Floyds Knobs; two daughters, Rhonda D. Thomas of Sellersburg and Lynda G. Lee of New Albany; two brothers, Ted Rawlings of Virginia and Glenn Rawlings of New Albany; three sisters, Carolyn Burres of New Albany, Barbara Richardson of Crandall and Janet Snyder of New Middletown; and eight grandchildren.
Visitation: Tuesday, June 17, from 2 to 8 p.m. at the Oak Street Chapel of Seabrook, Dieckmann and Naville Funeral Homes in New Albany.
Funeral: Wednesday, June 18, at 1 p.m. at the funeral home followed by burial in SCI-Graceland Memorial Park in New Albany.
