William J. Cottner Sr.

William J. (Bill) Cottner Sr., 84, Louisville, formerly of Corydon, died Saturday, May 31, 2008.
Born May 27, 1924, in Louisville, he was the son of the late Earl and Lillie Mae Hagner Cottner.
He was an Army veteran of World War II, a retired truck driver for Teamsters Local 89, and a member of Guardian Angels Catholic Church and American Legion Post 200.
Besides his parents, he was preceded in death by his wife of 47 years, the former Eullia Cox.
Survivors include two daughters, Debby Belcher and Carolyn Hennessy; two sons, Joe and Mike Cottner; six grandsons; and three great-grandchildren.
Visitation: Tuesday, June 3, from 2:30 to 8 p.m. and Wednesday, June 4, after 9 a.m. at Schoppernhorst Underwood & Brooks Funeral Home in Shepherdsville, Ky.
Funeral: Wednesday, June 4, at 11 a.m. at the funeral home followed by burial in Brookland Cemetery in Shepherdsville.
