Wayne Cunningham Jr.

Wayne Cunningham Jr., 81, Corydon, died Thursday, May 22, 2008, at Indian Creek Health and Rehabilitation Center in Corydon.
Born Sept. 6, 1926, in Corydon, he was the son of the late Edna Heishman Cunningham and Wayne Cunningham Sr.
He was retired from National Distillery in Louisville, was a member of the Community of Hope Church of the Nazarene and VFW Old Capitol Post 2950, both in Corydon, was a U.S. Trotting Association Horseman for 59 years and was an Army veteran of World War II.
Besides his parents, he was preceded in death by two brothers, Lee O. and Andrew Cunningham, and three sisters, Inez Lagle, Jean Allen and Carol Cunningham.
Survivors include his wife, Bonnie Garland Cunningham of Corydon; four sons, Jerry Lee Cunningham of Friendswood, Texas, Ronnie Wayne Cunningham of Webster, Texas, Randall Ray Cunningham of Corydon and Michael Todd Cunningham of Excelsior Springs, Mo.; two daughters, Sandra Sue Mann of Corydon and Marcia Ann Smith of Falmouth, Mass.; a brother, Carl V. Cunningham of Corydon; 11 grandchildren; and 12 great-grandchildren.
Visitation: Friday, May 23, from 5 to 9 p.m., Saturday, May 24, from 10 a.m. to 9 p.m. and Sunday, May 25, after 11 a.m. at Beanblossom-Cesar Funeral Home in Corydon.
Funeral: Sunday, May 25, at 2 p.m. at his church with burial in Cedar Hill Cemetery in Corydon.
Officiant: Pastor Duane Boady.
Pallbearers: Jerry, Ronnie, Randy and Mike Cunningham, Gary Smith and Ronnie Mann.
The family suggests memorial gifts to the Community of Hope Church of the Nazarene Building Fund.
