Barbara Ann Greenwell, 61, Lanesville, died Sunday, May 18, 2008, at her home.
Born Nov. 11, 1946, in Louisville, she was the daughter of the late Robert L. and Dorothy L. Culver Paris.
She was the secretary at St. Mary’s Catholic Church in Lanesville, where she was a member of the church. She also was a member of St. Anne’s Society, CHRP group, the Covenant Prayer Group and Inch by Inch, and was active in raising money for cancer research.
Survivors include her husband, John Greenwell of Lanesville; a son, Keith Greenwell of Georgetown; two daughters, Kim Greenwell Cole of New Albany and Kathy Palmiter of Owensboro, Ky.; two brothers, James Paris of Valley Station, Ky., and Robert L. Paris of Beaumont, N.C.; two sisters, Betty Jackson of Louisville and Karen Maupin of Edenton, N.C.; and eight grandchildren.
Visitation: Monday, May 19, from 5 to 8 p.m., Tuesday, May 20, from 1 to 8 p.m., Wednesday, May 21, from 1 to 8 p.m. and Thursday, May 22, after 9 a.m. at Gehlbach & Royse Funeral Home in Georgetown.
Prayer service: Wednesday, May 21, at 7 p.m. at the funeral home.
Funeral: Thursday, May 22, at 11 a.m. at St. Mary’s Catholic Church followed by burial in the church cemetery.
Officiant: Father Harold Ripperger.
Pallbearers: Todd, Mark, Paul and Rob Hasson, and Brian and Michael Greenwell.
The family suggests memorial gifts to the National LeioMyoSarcoma Foundation.
