Thomas A. Hunter

Thomas A. Hunter, 87, Corydon, died Monday, May 12, 2008, at Harrison Health and Rehabilitation Centre in Corydon.
Born April 18, 1921, in Corydon, he was the son of the late Albert and Ruby Kiger Hunter.
He was a retired production worker at the old Keller Manufacturing Co., a former employee of Jay C Store and Indian Creek Health and Rehabilitation Center, both in Corydon, was an Army veteran of World War II and a member of St. Joseph Catholic Church in Corydon.
Besides his parents, he was preceded in death by three brothers, Harold William Hunter, Albert Hunter Jr. and Clarence Hunter, and two sisters, Mardel Rhodes and Anna Lea Mattingly.
Survivors include his wife, the former Lucile Riley; five sons, Richard and David Hunter, both of Corydon, Steven Hunter of Carmel, Greg Hunter of Jeffersonville and Mike Hunter of Louisville; three daughters, Dianna Redden and Veronica Alstott, both of Corydon, and Mary Geswein of Lanesville; two sisters, Dorothy Ernst of Corydon and Josephine Lasley of Bedford; 18 grandchildren and eight great-grandchildren.
Visitation: Tuesday, May 13, from 2 to 8 p.m. and Wednesday, May 14, after 9 a.m. at Gehlbach & Royse Funeral Home in Corydon.
Funeral: Wednesday, May 14, at 11 a.m. at St. Joseph Catholic Church in Corydon followed by burial in the church cemetery.
Celebrant: Father Juan Valdez.
