Brent M. Monroe

Staff Sgt. Brent M. Monroe, 25, Floyds Knobs, died Sunday, May 4, 2008, at Tyndall Air Force Base in Panama City, Fla.
Born in Corydon, he was the son of Carla Goble and Ron Monroe.
He was a 2001 graduate of Floyd Central High School, a member of the 123rd Security Forces Squadron, Kentucky Air National Guard in Louisville, actively working at Tyndall Aire Force Base and had served in Iraq, and was a member of Northside Christian Church in New Albany.
Survivors besides his parents include a sister, Brook Monroe; two stepbrothers, Scott Goble and Wade Rozack; two stepsisters, Stephanie Brennan and Morgan Rozack; his grandparents, Corky and Carol Saulman and Davis and Tillie Monroe; and a great-grandmother, Violet Katherine Rainbolt.
Visitation: Thursday, May 8, from noon to 8 p.m. and Friday, May 9, from 11 a.m. to 2 p.m. at Kraft Funeral Service in New Albany.
Funeral: Friday, May 9, at 3 p.m. at Northside Christian Church followed by burial in Kraft-Graceland Memorial Park, both in New Albany.
