Gladys Centers, 88, Floyds Knobs, died Monday, April 28, 2008, at Floyd Memorial Hospital and Health Services in New Albany.
Born June 19, 1919, in Hazard, Ky., she was a homemaker and co-owner with her husband of SGV Equipment Inc. in Galena.
She was preceded in death by five sons, Beeches, Ervin and Harold Edward Martin, Danny Keith Mills and Leroy Edward Bishop.
Survivors include her husband, Van Centers of Floyds Knobs; four sons, Coy Martin, Rodney Mills, Kelly Martin and Maynard Martin, all of Salem; three daughters, Joy May Wynn of Campbellsburg, Connie Collins of New Albany and Susan Hussung of Lanesville; a sister, Lee Howard of Tuscon, Ariz.; 37 grandchildren; 64 great-grandchildren; and 36 great-great-grandchildren.
Visitation: Tuesday, April 29, from 4 to 8 p.m. and Wednesday, April 30, after 9 a.m. at Gehlbach & Royse Funeral Home in Georgetown.
Funeral: Wednesday, April 30, at 1 p.m. at the funeral home followed by burial in Walnut Ridge Cemetery in Jeffersonville.
