Floyd L. Sonner

Floyd L. Sonner, 89, Corydon, died Sunday, April 27, 2008, at Indian Creek Health and Rehabilitation Center in Corydon.
Born Feb. 3, 1919, in New Amsterdam, he was the son of the late Jessie and Eva Dooley Sonner.
He was a retired farmer and school bus driver for South Harrison Community School Corp, past president of the South Harrison Water Corp., past secretary of the Corydon Locker Plant, and past secretary of the Harrison and Floyd County Farm Bureau Co-op.
Besides his parents, he was preceded in death by his wife, Irma P. Sonner, and a brother, Roy Sonner.
Survivors include two sons, Gaylord Sonner of Lanesville and Dale Sonner of Corydon; a daughter, Benita K. Craig of Carbondale, Ill.; a brother, Jessie Eldon Sonner of Mauckport; six grandchildren; and seven great-grandchildren.
Visitation: Monday, April 28, from 4 to 8 p.m. and Tuesday, April 29, after 9 a.m. at Gehlbach & Royse Funeral Home in Corydon.
Funeral: Tuesday, April 29, at 2 p.m. at the funeral home with burial in Cedar Hill Cemetery.
Pallbearers: John Bliss, Randy Baelz, Carl (Buck) Mathes, Rick and Roger Reed and Gary Ripperdan.
The family suggests memorial gifts to the American Diabetes Association.
