Helen R. Rhoades

Helen R. Rhoades, 81, Corydon, died Wednesday, April 2, 2008, at Harrison County Hospital in Corydon.
Born Sept. 4, 1926, in Owensboro, Ky., she was the daughter of the late Walter and Caroline Ralston Sosh.
She was formerly the city tax collector for the city of Owensboro, a longtime employee of Paul Miller Ford in Lexington, Ky., and a member of Third Baptist Church in Owensboro.
Besides her parents, she was preceded in death by two sons, Roger D. Chapman and Daniel M. Rhoades.
Survivors include her husband of 53 years, Hugh Rhoades; two sons, Tom Chapman of Lexington, Ky., and Randy Chapman of Bowling Green, Ky.; a daughter, Susan Fields of Corydon; nine grandchildren; and seven great-grandchildren.
Visitation: Friday, April 4, from 4 to 8 p.m. at Gehlbach & Royse Funeral Home in Corydon.
Graveside services: Saturday, April 5, at Bluegrass Memorial Gardens in Lexington.
