Albert L. Thacker
Albert Lee Thacker, 86, Paoli, died Saturday, March 22, 2008, at 8 a.m. at his home.
Born March 7, 1922, in Paoli, he was the son of the late George and Nancy Livingston Thacker.
He was a retired truck driver for Benham’s Sawmill, an Army veteran of World War II and a member of Pleasant Grove Primitive Baptist Church in Millersburg.
Besides his parents, he was preceded in death by a daughter, Bonnie Lou Free; two brothers, Clyde and Homer Thacker; four sisters, Grace Patton, Viola Wease, Flossie Lawess and Bertha Stalker; and three grandchildren, Marilyn D. and Derrick L. Thacker and Todd E. Free.
Survivors include his wife of 63 years, the former Maggie Ilene Walls; a daughter, Roanna Tower of Milltown; two sons, Ronald and Gary Thacker, both of Paoli; a brother, George Russell Thacker of Indianapolis; six grandchildren; and three great-grandchildren.
Funeral: Tuesday, March 25, at McAdams Mortuary in Paoli with burial in Patoka Chapel Cemetery.
Officiant: Brother Jesse Motsinger.
