Wilma E. Walts

Wilma E. Byerley Walts, 79, Corydon, died Wednesday, March 26, 2008, at Harrison Health and Rehabilitation Centre in Corydon.
Born April 22, 1928, in Harrison County, she was the daughter of the late Bill and Bessie Wallace Toops.
She was retired from M. Fine and Sons Shirt Factory in New Albany and was a member of Potato Run United Methodist Church west of Corydon.
Besides her parents, she was preceded in death by two husbands, Lorenzo Byerley and Glenn Walts; a son, Randy Byerley; a brother, Frank Love; a sister, Louise Humphrey; and two grandsons, Craig and Curtis Robison.
Survivors include six daughters, Vivian Fessel of Noblesville, Martha Owen of Georgetown, Ramona Clark, Shirley Fessel and Carolyn Burton, all of Corydon, and Lisa Stephens of Salisbury, N.C.; a brother, Ronnie Johnson of New Albany; a sister, Laura Colglazier of New Albany; 14 grandchildren; and seven great-grandchildren.
Visitation: Friday, March 28, from noon to 9 p.m. and Saturday, March 29, after 9 a.m. at Beanblossom-Cesar Funeral Home in Corydon.
Funeral: Saturday, March 29, at 2 p.m. at the funeral home with burial in Heidelberg Cemetery south of Corydon.
Officiant: The Rev. Larry Hensley.
Pallbearers: Her grandchildren.
The family suggests memorial gifts to her church.
