Samuel J. Bannister

Samuel J. Bannister, 61, Clarksville, died Saturday, March 15, 2008, at Clark Memorial Hospital in Jeffersonville.
Born Jan. 8, 1947, in Seymour, he was the son of the late Lloyd S. and Ellen Brown Bannister.
He was a hydraulic engineer, an Army veteran of the Vietnam War and a member of the Full Gospel faith.
Survivors include his wife, the former Catherine Avery Bannister; two sons, Stephen D. Jecker of Louisville and James E. Jecker of Clarksville; four daughters, Julie Ann Lucey, Johnetta Lynn Bannister and Janet Lee Bannister, all of Louisville, and Tammy Lynn Pilkerton of Clarksville; three brothers, Fred D. Bannister of Eaton Rapids, Mich., and Ken E. and Lloyd Bannister, both of Louisville; and seven grandchildren.
Funeral: Saturday, March 22, at Brown-Newkirk Funeral Home in Milltown with interment in Mathers Chapel Cemetery near English.
Officiant: The Rev. Ron Roll.
