Joseph H. Ballou

Joseph Herbert Ballou, 79, Corydon, died Tuesday, March 11, 2008, at his home.
Born Dec. 24, 1928, in Louisville, he was the son of the late Joseph and Christine Lewis Ballou.
He was a retired draftsman from Tube Turns and Vermont American, both in Louisville, a founding member of the Radio Control Club of Southern Indiana and a member of New Middletown United Methodist Church.
Besides his parents, he was preceded in death by his wife, Evelyn M. Ballou.
Survivors include a son, Joseph D. Ballou of Elizabeth; two daughters, Dee Woertz of Linton and Jennifer Disney of Corydon; four grandchildren; and a great-grandchild.
Visitation: Friday, March 14, after 10 a.m. at Gehlbach and Royse Funeral Home in Corydon.
Funeral: Friday, March 14, at 3 p.m. at the funeral home with burial in Rose Hill Cemetery in Elizabeth.
Officiant: Chaplain John Helm.
The family suggests memorial gifts to the Indian Creek Health and Rehabilitation Center’s Alzheimer’s Unit in Corydon.
