Wayne Trowbridge, 67, LaGrange, died Monday, March 3, 2008, at his home.
Born Feb. 9, 1941, he was the son of the late Homer and Clara Gammon Trowbridge.
He was a teacher for the Columbus schools for 26 years, a supervisor for Dekalb County Family and Children Services, a member of the teacher’s union and was active in Big Brothers Big Sisters.
Besides his parents, he was preceded in death by his wife, Charlotte Uhl, on March 27, 1977, and two brothers, Frank and Robert Trowbridge.
Survivors include two sons, Gordon Trowbridge of Alexandria, Va., and Steve Trowbridge of Fort Wayne; a daughter, Rachel Campbell of LaGrange; three brothers, Dean and Don Trowbridge, both of Washington, and Jerry Trowbridge of Bloomington; three sisters, Arlene of Indianapolis, Delores of Oden and Phyllis of Washington; and four grandchildren.
Visitation: Wednesday, March 5, from 4 to 7 p.m. at Frurip-May Funeral Home in LaGrange and Friday, March 7, after 10 a.m. at St. Michael’s Catholic Church in Bradford.
Rosary: Wednesday, March 5, at 4 p.m. at the funeral home.
Funeral: Friday, March 7, at 11 a.m. at the church followed by burial in the church cemetery.
Officiant: Father John Fink.
