Thelma M. Toler

Thelma Mae Toler, 87, Corydon, died Sunday, March 2, 2008, at Indian Creek Health and Rehabilitation Center in Corydon.
Born Sept. 3, 1920, in Harrison County, she was the daughter of the late Preston and Zena Crecelius Franks.
She was a homemaker, a former employee of the Harrison County Assessor’s Office, a former cook at Corydon Central High School, and a member of Heidelberg United Methodist Church near Corydon and Heidelberg United Methodist Women.
Besides her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband of 67 years, Russell Toler, and three brothers, Earl, Stanley and Kenneth Franks.
Survivors include two sons, Owen D. Toler of Corydon and Lester W. Toler of Waycross, Ga.; a daughter, Belva J. Ollis of Sellersburg; a brother, Fred Franks of Corydon; a sister, Ella Wheat of Corydon; five grandchildren; and seven great-grandchildren.
Visitation: Tuesday, March 4, from 1 to 8 p.m. and Wednesday, March 5, after 9 a.m. at Beanblossom-Cesar Funeral Home in Corydon.
Funeral: Wednesday, March 5, at 11 a.m. at the funeral home followed by burial in Heidelberg Cemetery south of Corydon.
Officiant: The Rev. Dennis Aud.
Pallbearers: Angela Schroeder, Mark and Tracy Toler, and David, Robert, Aaron and Chad Franks.
The family suggests memorial gifts to her church.
