Geneva W. Crayden Wiseman, 94, Corydon, died Monday, March 3, 2008, at Harrison Health and Rehabilitation Center in Corydon.
A native of Harrison County, she was born Dec. 30, 1913, the daughter of the late Eli and Cora Fellmy Crayden.
She was a graduate of New Salisbury High School and Indiana University, and was a member of Alpha Omega Pi sorority in Bloomington and Old Capitol United Methodist Church in Corydon for more than 60 years and had been active in the church throughout her life. She was a member for many years in the Phi Beta Psi sorority, the Harrison County Literary Club and the Harrison County Homemakers Club.
Besides her parents, she was preceded in death by her first husband, Walter C. Martin in 1945; her second husband of 51 years, Blaine H. Wiseman in 1998; and her brother, Albert C. Crayden.
Survivors include her sons, Mark B. Wiseman and Max M. Martin, both of Corydon; four grandchildren; and six great-grandchildren.
Visitation: Wednesday, March 5, from 3 to 8 p.m. at Beanblossom-Cesar Funeral Home in Corydon and Thursday, March 6, after 9:30 a.m. at Old Capitol United Methodist Church in Corydon.
Funeral: Thursday, March 6, at 11 a.m. at the church followed by burial in Cedar Hill Cemetery in Corydon.
Officiant: The Rev. Douglas Finney.
Pallbearers: Steven W. Ashabranner, Orville LaHue Jr., James O. LaDuke, Brian and Michael Lower and Richard Timberlake.
The family suggests expressions of sympathy be made to her church.
