Noah E. Newlin

Noah Ermel Newlin, 90, Paoli, died Monday, Feb. 25, 2008, at Bloomington Hospital.
Born Oct., 31, 1917, in Galveston, he was the son of the late Franklin Thomas Newlin and Kitty Emily Padgett Newlin.
He was a 1935 graduate of Paoli High School, an Army veteran of World War II, a retired inspector from Fishers Division of General Motors in Marion and a former member of Ames Chapel in Paoli.
Besides his parents, he was preceded in death by his wife, the former Ruby E. Crowe, in 2001; a sister, Hazel Kimble; two stepsisters; and a stepbrother.
Survivors include a son, Dr. Gordon Ermel Newlin of Floyds Knobs; two grandchildren; and five great-grandchildren.
Visitation: Friday, Feb. 29, from 4 to 8 p.m. at Kemple Funeral Home in Paoli and Saturday, March 1, after 10 a.m. at Ames Chapel.
Funeral: Saturday, March 1, at 11 a.m. at the church with burial in Stampers Creek Cemetery.
