Nolen L. Trowbridge
Nolen L. (Popeye) Trowbridge, 85, died Tuesday, Dec. 25, 2007.
Born June 20, 1922, in Elizabeth, he was the son of the late Frank and May Heintz Trowbridge.
He attended the old Morgan Township High School and served 22 years in the Air Force during World War II and the Korean and Vietnam wars, and retired as a master sergeant in 1966. He spent 26 years at General Dynamics in quality control and was a member of the Blue River F&AM Lodge for more than 50 years.
Besides his parents, he was preceded in death by a sister, Virginia Marshall, and two brothers, Norris and Herbert Trowbridge.
Survivors include two children, Gary Nolen Trowbridge and Peggy Ann Thomas, both of Texas; his life partner, Martine Ottocale; two grandchildren; and two great-grandchildren.
Graveside service: Monday, Dec. 31, in Dallas-Fort Worth National Cemetery with full military honors.
Officiant: Chaplain Dan Ashley.
