Edna N. Owens

Edna N. Owens, 94, formerly of Louisville, died Thursday, Jan. 10, 2008, in Colorado Springs, Colo.
Born Dec. 11, 1913, she was the daughter of the late John W. and Maude P. Kintner.
She was a retired legal secretary and a volunteer in her communities, including servings as president of the Meade County (Ky.) Homemakers of Doe Valley, president of the District of Meade County Homemakers, president of the Colorado Springs Women’s Club and Women’s Club of the Pikes Peak District, worked in the United Methodist churches of the communities where she lived and was a member of the Order of the Eastern Star.
Besides her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Jesse Allen Owens; two brothers, Archie Kintner and James Kintner of Central; and a sister, Thelma Bironas.
Survivors include a son, James Allen Owens of Louisville; two daughters, Barbara Ann Morris and Sandra Leigh Owens, both of Colorado Springs; three sisters, Mary Lively and Francie Stoltz, both of Louisville, and Billie Mae Boone of Lanesville; seven grandchildren; 18 great-grandchildren; and a great-great-grandchild.
Visitation: Wednesday, Jan. 16, from 1 to 8 p.m. at Owen Funeral Home in Louisville.
Funeral: Thursday, Jan. 17, at 11 a.m. at the funeral home followed by burial in Louisville Memorial Gardens West.
The family suggests memorial gifts to the charity of the donor’s choice.
