Kenneth A. Booker Sr.

Kenneth A. Booker Sr., 75, Georgetown, died Thursday, Jan. 3, 2008, at his home.
Born May 9, 1932, in Louisville, he was the son of the late Waverly and Lula Hilton Booker.
He was a self-employed painter and a member of New Salisbury Full Gospel Church.
Besides his parents, he was preceded in death by his wife, Betty Ann Booker; a brother, Barney Booker; and a sister, Joyce Hunter.
Survivors include five sons, Kenneth Booker Jr. of Georgetown, Daniel Booker of Rockville, Tenn., Joseph and David Booker, both of Florida, and Thomas Booker of Clarksville; five daughters, Christine Paris of Corydon, Teri Schriener of New Albany, Debbie Niehaus of Clarksville, Denise Booker of Orange, Texas, and Annette Jeffrey of Symrna, Tenn.; two brothers, Pee Wee Booker of Salem and Wilbur Booker of Tennessee; a sister, Nancy Newton of Michigan; a friend who cared for him, Dorothy Decker of Corydon; 33 grandchildren; and 27 great-grandchildren.
Visitation: Friday, Jan. 4, from 5 to 8 p.m. at Beanblossom-Cesar Funeral Home in Corydon, and Saturday, Jan. 5, after 10 a.m. at the New Salisbury Full Gospel Church.
Funeral: Saturday, Jan. 5, at 2 p.m. at the church with burial in Oak Grove Cemetery west of Corydon.
Officiant: The Rev. Rollie Collins.
Pallbearers: Christopher and Joe Booker, Daniel and Josiah Niehaus, and Eric and Pete Schriener.
