William R Davidson

William R Davidson, 82, New Albany, died Tuesday, Dec. 25, 2007, at Providence Retirement Home in New Albany.
A native of Corydon, he was a retired administrator for the University of Louisville, a member of Silver Street United Methodist Church and a Navy veteran of World War II.
He was preceded in death by his twin brothers, James and John Davidson.
Survivors include his wife, the former Bernice Ashton; two sons, William A. Davidson of Floyds Knobs and David E. Davidson of Covington, Ky.; a daughter, Martha L. Cowles of Mount Vernon, Ky.; a sister, Sister Mary Churchill of Corydon; four grandchildren; and a great-grandchild.
Visitation: Thursday, Dec. 27, from 2 to 8 p.m. at the Market Street Chapel of Seabrook Dieckmann & Naville Funeral Homes in New Albany, and Friday, Dec. 28, after 10 a.m. at Silver Street United Methodist Church.
Funeral: Friday, Dec. 28, at 11 a.m. at the church with entombment in Graceland Memorial Park in New Albany.
The family suggests memorial gifts to Silver Street United Methodist Church or the Salvation Army.
