Lillian K. Foster

Lillian K. Foster, 91, Corydon, formerly of Louisville, died Friday, Dec. 21, 2007, at her daughter’s home in Apollo, Pa.
Born Sept. 26, 1916, in Harrison County, she was the daughter of the late Charles and Carrie Richert Walker.
She retired from A&P Tea Co. in 1978 after 35 years in the divisional office in Louisville, was a lifetime member of the Ladies Auxiliary to the Veterans of Foreign Wars, holding many offices, including president of Iroquois Hill Post Auxiliary, the Sixth District and the Dept. of Kentucky, and was aide-de-Camp to Marion Watson while national president, was a member of the American Legion Auxiliary and volunteered in community service and serving veterans.
Besides her parents, she was preceded in death by two brothers, Clifford and Henry Edward Walker, and a half brother, Clinton Walker.
Survivors include two daughters, Susan Collins of Apollo and Joyce McCarty of Royersford, Pa.; a sister, Velva Mansfield of Depauw; three grandchildren; and three grandchildren.
Visitation: Friday, Dec. 28, after 10 a.m. at Gehlbach & Royse Funeral Home in Corydon.
Funeral: Friday, Dec. 28, at 11 a.m. at the funeral home followed by burial will be in St. Peter’s Lutheran Cemetery west of Lanesville.
