Sidney L. Liebert

Sidney L. Liebert, 81, New Albany, died early Sunday morning, Dec. 16, 2007, at Floyd Memorial Hospital and Health Services in New Albany.
A native of Laconia, he was a graduate of Purdue University, an Army veteran of World War II, retired as the Floyd County Extension Officer for Floyd County, then employed as a driver for Bales Auto Mall in Jeffersonville.
He was preceded in death by his wife, the former Hazel Behr, and two brothers, Melvin Liebert of New Albany and Charlie Liebert of Elizabeth.
Survivors include a daughter, Denise Liebert of New Albany.
Visitation: Wednesday, Dec. 19, from 2 to 8 p.m. at the Oak Street Chapel of Seabrook Dieckmann & Naville Funeral Homes in New Albany.
Funeral: Thursday, Dec. 20, at 10 a.m. at the funeral home followed by burial in Rehobeth Cemetery near Laconia.
The family suggests memorial gifts to the American Heart Association or The Rehobeth Cemetery Fund, in care of Arlene Ferber, 8710 Ferber Court, Georgetown, IN 47122.
